Why We Built This Site
Michigan gives the public broad access to court records. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. Michigan uses a unified County Clerk, so there is no separate District Clerk here. The County Clerk, Julia A. Drost, is the official record keeper for 33rd Circuit Court case files, along with birth, marriage, and death records, concealed pistol licenses, and elections. The case files themselves sit with three courts. The 33rd Circuit Court hears felonies, civil suits above $25,000, and family matters. The 90th District Court handles misdemeanors, traffic, small claims, and civil suits up to $25,000. The Probate and Family Court manages estates, guardianships, and juvenile cases. The Sheriff, Charles Vondra, runs the county jail and its roster. Add the Michigan Department of Corrections and the Michigan State Police, and the picture gets crowded fast. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.

- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
